  Sanford Biggers on April 2 at 6:00 p.m. in the Carpenter Center's Lecture
  Hall.  A native of Los Angeles and a resident of New York\, Biggers creat
 es multidisciplinary artworks that integrate film/video installation\, scu
 lpture\, music\, and performance and will discuss some of the ideas behind
  his work in this lecture. In?uenced by his experiences living throughout 
 the United States\, Europe\, and Japan\, and by Buddhism\, hip-hop and urb
 an culture\, Biggers's work is known for its combination of meditative rig
 or and improvisatory edge. His installations\, videos\, and performances h
