 in love with language\, using text to create complex visual images. 'Langu
 age has been seeping into my work\, insinuating itself for the past ten ye
 ars\,&acirc\;' she has said. 'I am interested in the evolution of image as
  an analogy\, a shadow of the text.'  Using cut out shapes that are collag
 ed into painting\, Davidson enters into a complicated process of wearing d
 own the surface and then building it up again. 'Having developed from the 
 use of actual language\, the forms become a personal hieroglyph. Underlyin
 g the paintings is the attempt to resolve the conversation between wanting
