 ile creating one-of-a-kind heirlooms for your little one! This three sessi
 on &ldquo\;Sewing for Babies&rdquo\; interactive workshop at the Boston Ce
 nter for Adult Education (BCAE) will teach students how to sew a number of
  small items such as baby booties and swaddling blankets. Students will us
 e creative patterns and fabrics to create personalized pieces that will ma
 ke the perfect gifts for baby showers and special occasions! While some se
 wing machines will be provided by the BCAE\, students are encouraged to br
 ing their own. The &ldquo\;Sewing for Babies&rdquo\; three session worksho
 p will be held on Tuesday\, April 6\, 2010\, April 13\, 2010 and April 20\
 , 2010 from 7:45 pm - 9:45 pm.   Workshops Schedule:  Session 1: Create cu
 stomizing Onesies with appliqu&eacute\;s\, ruffles and much more! Material
 s:  One package of cotton Onesies (pre-wash and shrink) your choice of siz
 es 1 yard fabric (pre-wash and shrink) 1 package of Wonder Under (regular 
 weight\, paper backed fusible web) 1 package small package of 1/4' wide el
 astic Fabric marker  Session 2:  Fabric Baby Booties with 2 patterns (prov
 ided) one to work on in class and one to take home for a future project! M
 aterials: 1 yard flannel 1/4 yard of companion flannel 1/2 yard of quiltin
 g weight fabric of your choice 1/2 yard of your choice soft fabric (minky\
 , terrycloth\, etc.)  Session 3:  Swaddling Blanket\, Bib and/or Burp Clot
 hs! Materials: Exact patterns will be issued prior to class to allow stude
 nts to determine the quantities Scrap fabric from previous session project
 s  Elastic left over from first session  1/4 yard medium weight fusible in
 terfacing   Instructor:   Stephanie Sabbe is a commercial interior designe
