 ill open your eyes when they open their doors!  Artists across the City of
  Somerville will open their studios for the twelfth annual citywide open s
 tudios event. Open studios are an opportunity for the public to visit arti
 sts in the space where they make their art. More than 350 Somerville artis
 ts will showcase their art (more than 100 locations) throughout the city. 
 In fact\, many boast that it is a MECCA for artists\, working from home-ba
 sed studios to commercial buildings such as Joy Street \, Vernon Street\, 
 Brickbottom\, Mad Oyster\, The Armory\, and Mudflat Studios (to name a few
 ). This FREE citywide event showcases both the established and emerging ar
 tists working across a broad spectrum of fine art styles and craft&ndash\;
  painting\, sculpture\, photography\, fiber\, jewelry\, clay\, glass and f
 urniture will be on exhibit for the art-loving public. Does Somerville hav
 e more artists per square mile than any other city? That may be debatable 
 but the allure will be worth experiencing first hand.  A great chance to s
 ee many Somerville Open Studios Artists in one location is at the Somervil
 le Museum\, at 1 Westwood Rd\, Somerville MA\, from Saturday April 17 thro
