 \nThis summer BCMS observes the 200th anniversary of the births of Frederi
 c Chopin and Robert Schumann with a four concert series in their honor. As
  two of the most revered and beloved Romantic composers\, their lives in m
 any ways mirrored each other. Both began composing exclusively for solo pi
 ano\, sustained turbulent love lives\, and died before we could experience
  the full extent of their musical output. Though Chopin resided in France 
 and Schumann in Germany\, the music and ideology of the Romantic era trans
 cends the cultural barriers and brings forth a lush\, impassioned response
  to their lives and the music that preceded them. In this series we also h
 ear works of Liszt\, Kod&aacute\;ly\, Brahms and Beethoven\, who each in t
