Event Date End: 2010-07-28\n\nMusic speaks better than words - but sometim
es words\, such as Schopenhauer's here can catch the magic that makes this
art form so unique. And magic is the word for Jean-Michel's new trio. Thr
ee painters and storytellers who mesmerize their audiences with something
that goes far beyond notes and craft. We won't attempt to define that 'so
mething.' It must be heard and discovered. Suffice to say that the one and
only Billy Hart and the amazing Boris Kozlov bring to Jean-Michel Pilc's
music that sense of freshness\,adventure\, mystery and excitement which is
Jean-Michel Pilc's trademark and makes him so unique\, which made someone
say at a recent Pilc performance: 'Now I am a different person.' The new
release True Story (Dreyfus Jazz) will take you on a journey\, which you
 won't forget and which will\, indeed\, change you. The recording\, which i
s made up of fifteen new selections from Pilc\, will embrace you throughou
 t. From the beautiful opening composition titled &ldquo\;The Other Night&r
dquo\; to the personal interpretations of Schubert's &ldquo\;Relic\,&rdquo
 \; & Cole Porter's &ldquo\;My Heart Belongs to Daddy&rdquo\; through the f
 ive-piece selection title track &ldquo\;True Story&rdquo\; (Scenes 1 thru
 5) you will clearly recognize Jean-Michel Pilc's compositional brilliance
and the unique musicianship that is captured here within this trio format.
Give a listen\, and experience Pilc's new masterwork. About Jean-Michel
