 08-07\n\nOwned and operated by the Peabody Historical Society\, the Felton
  Jr. House was one of the first homes built on Mount Pleasant in the Brook
 sby area of Salem (now Peabody) around the year 1700. The house was occupi
 ed for several generations by the Felton family\, most notably by Nathanie
 l Felton Jr.\, who along with his father and 19 others\, famously defended
  his neighbors\, John and Elizabeth Proctor\, during the witchcraft trials
 . Visitors can tour the house\, stroll the grounds\, and visit the petting
  zoo and farm stand at Brooksby Farm. This program is being offered in con
 junction with Seventeenth Century Saturdays\, an Essex National Heritage C
