 1998 Matthew Shepard was beaten and left to die tied to a fence in the out
 skirts of Laramie\, Wyoming. Matthew's murder became a watershed historica
 l moment that highlighted many of the fault lines in our culture. A month 
 after the murder the members of Tectonic Theater Project set out for Laram
 ie and conducted interviews with more than 200 residents. The resulting pl
