  an English renaissance theme and weaves it into a 20th century setting. S
 zymanowski's Violin Concerto pulls inspiration from Polish folk music. The
  evening closes with  Elgar's Enigma Variations\, a work that is at times 
 wistful and then righteous. At Thursday's concert\, Maestro Benjamin Zande
