 sic scenes.  Trotman has performed\, recorded\, and toured with an elite g
 roup of artists&mdash\;among them are Grammy Award-winning r&b vocalists\,
  Roberta Flack and Brian McKnight\, multi Grammy-nominated saxophonist Kir
 k Whalum. He serves as the musical director\, saxophonist/keyboardist\, an
 d longtime member of the Bronson Arroyo Band\, named for the Major League 
 Baseball pitcher. He has also won awards for Best New Act (1998) at Barbad
 os Nation Awards and Best Jazz Artist (2008) New England Urban Music Award
