 n four years. The band\, which formed in Glasgow in January 1996\, is ofte
 n compared to influential bands such as The Smiths\, as well as such legen
 ds as Love\, Bob Dylan and Nick Drake.\n\nWhile word on the new album rema
 ins hushed\, loyal fans wait with bated breath for their first full-length
 \, non-compilation album since 2006. Their most recent album\, The Life Pu
 rsuit\, became the band's highest charting release to date and was praised
  by critics\, including influential UK online music zine Drowned in Sound\
 , who picked the album as one of their Top 10 Best Albums of the Year. Bel
 le & Sebastian will celebrate their return to the studio with a select han
