 ht. This lecture will explore the magazine's surprising alliances with art
 ists\, architects\, curators\, and critics and discuss how such collaborat
 ions influenced both the public and the critical reception of American mod
 ernism.\n\nIn the Modernism Comes to the Americas\, 1940&ndash\;1960 serie
 s\, three curators from the Harvard Art Museums will speak about the ways 
 in which modernism spread from Paris to the Americas during World War II t
