  we explore two important cultural institutions established as generous gi
 fts to their surrounding communities. Opened in 1931 by Phillips Andover g
 raduate Thomas Cochran\, the Addison Gallery of American Art in Andover\, 
 Massachusetts\, has acquired one of the most significant collections of Am
 erican art in the world\, and has recently been renovated. The Currier Mus
 eum of Art in Manchester\, New Hampshire\, founded in 1929 through the beq
 uest of former governor Moody Currier\, features a permanent collection of
  American and European art dating from the Renaissance to the present day.
 \n\n$160 (members $130). Open to the public.\n\nBus will depart from and r
 eturn to the Arthur M. Sackler Museum. Fee includes bus transportation\, a
 dmission\, lunch\, and all gratuities. Space is limited\, and advance regi
