  Orgel\, horn\, Tim Albright\, trombone\, and John Manning\, tuba. The Qua
 rtet has performed across the United States\, in more than a dozen countri
 es\, and on four continents\, performing a unique repertory spanning Praet
 orius\, Monteverdi\, Bach\, Etler\, Stravinsky\, Rands\, as well as brass 
 music from the streets of Brazil\, Cuba\, the Balkans\, and New Orleans. T
 he winner of six international chamber music competitions\, the Quintet's 
 distinctive sound\, impeccable ensemble\, stunning virtuosity\, and warm\,
  inviting stage presence have won praise from scores of critics.\n\nFounde
 d in 1985\, the Atlantic Brass Quintet launched its career with a string o
 f competition victories over a period of two years. Grand prizes include t
 he Coleman Chamber Music Competition\, Carmel Chamber Music Society Compet
 ition\, the Shoreline Alliance Chamber Music Competition\, the Summit Bras
 s First International Brass Ensemble Competition\, and the Rafael Mendez I
 nternational Brass Quintet Competition. Following these remarkable achieve
 ments\, the Quintet was honored by Musical America by being named 'Young A
 rtists of 1988'. In 1992\, by unanimous decision\, the Quintet won the 'Pr
 emiere Prix' at the International Brass Competition in Narbonne\, France\,
  recognized worldwide as the preeminent competition of its kind.\n\nHighli
 ghts in the Quintet's concert career include performances at Carnegie Hall
 \, Weill Recital Hall\, the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival\, the Fleet Bo
 ston Celebrity Series\, the White House\, and Tanglewood on Parade. In 199
 1\, as part of Boston's Fourth of July Celebration\, the Quintet entertain
 ed an audience of over 350\,000 concergoers on Boston's Esplanade.\n\nBase
 d in Boston\, the Atlantic Brass Quintet has been the resident brass quint
 et of Boston University\, Boston University's Tanglewood Institute\, and a
 t Boston Conservatory. The Atlantic Brass Quintet International Summer Sem
