  and 10-time Grammy winner Bobby McFerrin performs an improvisational prog
 ram with Berklee students in the 24-member Singing Tribe Ensemble\, conduc
 ted by Associate Professor Joey Blake. The concert is the culmination of M
 cFerrin's weeklong residency at Berklee\, his second visit as Africana Stu
 dies visiting professor. The program for the evening will be determined th
 rough McFerrin's workshops with the students the week of the concert.  Aud
 itions were held last fall to choose the vocalists.  While many Berklee st
 udent concerts include auditions\, the process for this ensemble was parti
 cularly exhaustive. Close to 300 students auditioned\, and the finalists w
 ent through two callbacks and submitted essays about what they hope to gai
 n from the experience. Showcasing the diverse landscape of Berklee student
 s\, the members hail from countries all over the world\, including Argenti
 na\, Bangladesh\, Bermuda\, Ecuador\, Finland\, Greece\, Holland\, Italy\,
