 ilt to be examined and discussed. We'll talk about its design elements and
  about the era in which it was likely made\, and hear suggestions for its 
 care\, restoration or remake. Simple techniques will be shown to preserve 
 quilts when possible and repair\nthem when necessary. There will be handou
 ts on caring for old quilts and a resource list for local quilt restorers 
 and appraisers. Quiltings have always been community socials as well as pr
 actical gatherings. In that spirit\, this workshop will be both informativ
