 f wonder.  By combining historical and new media technologies\, artist Dav
 e Gordon achieves effects which are at once magical\, beautiful and unders
 tandable.  \n\nMuch of the work presented in &ldquo\;Virtual Kinetics\, an
 d the Art of the Image&rdquo\; represents a peculiar decades-long collabor
 ation between two gentlemen from different centuries\, multimedia artist a
 nd educator Dave Gordon and Victorian inventor and photographer Eadweard M
 uybridge.  Gordon continues the artistic work of &ldquo\;the father of fil
 m&rdquo\; by exploiting cutting edge technologies such as micro controller
 s and Hall-effect sensors to make Muybridge's motion studies interactive i
 n a three dimensional environment. Gordon presents work which lays bare th
 e technology that all digital Media uses to display images and mimic conti
 nuous motion. While beautiful and educational the work is often provocativ
