  a walk along the paths of the Arboretum through the eyes of &ldquo\;Paint
 ers for a Purpose\,&rdquo\; a group of South Shore pastel artists. The med
 ium of pastel is particularly suited for rendering intense colors and cont
 rasting textures. With the Arboretum as a magnificent muse\, these artists
  explore the landscape in all seasons\, beautifully capturing changes in n
 ature and light.  Painters for a Purpose donates 30% of the sales from eac
 h exhibit to nonprofit organizations. This show will benefit the Elizabeth
  Stone House\, a Jamaica Plain institution that helps women and families r
 ebuild their lives after experiencing domestic violence\, mental illness\,
  substance abuse\, and other trauma.\n\nStart time: 1:00pm
