 he Gift was invited to re-interpret selections of Rodrigues's vast catalog
 ue and was given full liberty to choose the compositions and his collabora
 tors and to create new arrangements. For this homage\, Nuno created Hoje w
 ith three of Portugal's most well known musicians: Sonia Tavares (The Gift
 )\, Fernando Ribeiro (Moonspell) and Paulo Pra&ccedil\;a (Plaza). They too
 k nine fados immortalized by Am&aacute\;lia Rodrigues and re-interpreted t
 hem with a contemporary approach. The resulting Am&aacute\;lia Hoje has go
 ne triple platinum in Portugal and catapulted Hoje into the international
