 haracterized his work from 1919 to roughly 1923 as &ldquo\;Wall Paintings.
 &rdquo\; In these works\, the artist often employed plaster\, sand\, or pa
 pier m&acirc\;ch&eacute\; to create relief surfaces. This talk will take a
  close look at Head (1920) as a prime example from this series and note ho
 w it relates to paintings on view by Baumeister's contemporaries\, such as
  Max Beckmann and L&aacute\;szl&oacute\; Moholy-Nagy.\n\nFree with the pri
 ce of admission.\n\nGallery talks are informal and include discussion. Lim
