 t photographs of suburban neighborhoods\, using long exposures to capture 
 the effects of fog\, and light from streetlamps and windows. Hido's projec
 t relates closely to Feininger's atmospheric night photographs of the Bauh
 aus building and the surrounding neighborhood.\n\nArtisTalk is a new six-p
 art series of lectures by and conversations with some of today's most thou
 ght-provoking artists. Artistic practice is an essential form of intellect
 ual inquiry and cultural critique. Contemporary artists have much to say a
 nd much to teach about the complex world in which we live.\n\nThe spring s
 eries will feature three contemporary photographers whose work recalls dif
 ferent aspects of Lyonel Feininger's photography\, which will be the subje
 ct of a special exhibition in the Sackler Museum March 30&ndash\;June 2\,

 .\n\nThis series was made possible in part by generous support from the Em
 ily Rauh Pulitzer and Joseph Pulitzer Jr. Fund for Modern and Contemporary
  Art\, Harvard Art Museums.\n\nThe M. Victor Leventritt Fund was establish
 ed through the generosity of the wife\, children\, and friends of the late
  M. Victor Leventritt\, Harvard Class of 1935. The purpose of the fund is 
 to present outstanding scholars of the history and theory of art to the Ha
