 5\nEvent Date End: 2011-10-20\n\nIn this workshop\, students will be intro
 duced to a variety of independently published photography books\, with a f
 ocus on construction\, concept\, layout\, design\, typography\, sequencing
 \, among other aspects of bookmaking. Students will learn about traditiona
 l offset printing\, print-on-demand publishing as well as handmade artist 
 books\, and discuss which direction makes sense for their own project. We 
 will have a guest artist teach the basics of hand binding a book. Students
  will also learn about a number of resources for discovering artists books
  and for promoting their own publications when they are ready. Students ar
 e highly encouraged to enroll in this workshop with a cohesive body of wor
 k that they would like to explore in book form.\n\nStart time: 5:30pm to 8
