 ances overlooking the Boston Harbor at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Li
 brary & Museum.\n\nSir Peter Maxwell Davies’ opera is an unforgettable g
 ripping and overwhelming portrait of growing madness and possession. Origi
 nally inspired by the true story of three lighthouse keepers who mysteriou
 sly disappeared from their post on Northern Scotland’s Orkney Islands in
  1900. \n\n“Upon landing on that island\, they found that the door of th
 e lighthouse was open\, the table was set for a meal\, one cup was broken 
 and one chair was overturned\, but no trace of the lighthouse keepers\,”
  said Davies.\n\nJohn Bellemer (Carmen 2002\, 2009)\, Christopher Burchett
 \, and Boston favorite David Cushing comprise this cast of three extraordi
 nary singing actors.  David Angus conducts renowned stage director Tim Alb
 ery’s new production.\n\nStart time: Evening performances being at 8pm.
