  Salem Theatre Company is excited to present the Boston String Quartet on 
 Friday\, September 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the STC Theater\, 90 Lafayette Stree
 t in Salem. Tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door. \n\nThe critica
 lly acclaimed Boston String Quartet (&ldquo\;a once in a lifetime experien
 ce&rdquo\; &ndash\; Peoria Star) will present their program &ldquo\;WorldS
 ong&rdquo\; which is touring this fall throughout New England. &ldquo\;It 
 ain't your grandma's traditional string quartet\,&rdquo\; says Gary LaParl
 \, Executive Director of STC. &ldquo\;It's a fresh and original blend of m
 usic from throughout the world. The program will include a mix of music in
 cluding Zydeco\, Taiwense Folk\, American Fiddle\, Bulgarian\, Gospel\, Sa
 lsa\, and more.&rdquo\;  \n\nIf you think that string quartet music is bor
 ing\, and that violins and cellos play only Bach and Beethoven music\, the
 n you will be mightily surprised by this unconventional group of string pl
 ayers that have been thrilling audiences from coast to coast with their un
 ique compositions and daring approach. \n\nThe Boston String Quartet has h
 ad the opportunity to collaborate with John Mayer\, the Boston Ballet\, Je
 nnifer Holliday\, Lisa Fisher\, Tim Janis\, Dave Fiucznyski\, as well as t
 o perform sold out performances at Symphony Hall\, the Los Angeles Music A
