 tive course\, we will listen to the music of Mozart\, Haydn\, Bach\, and H
 andel\, discuss the significance of selected works featured on H&H's first
  three concerts (Mozart in Vienna\, Pergolesi Stabat Mater and Handel Mess
 iah) and explore the unique colors\, textures and moods present in the voc
 al and instrumental works of\nthis magnificent quartet of composers. Wheth
 er you're already an H&H concertgoer or simply yearning to explore these a
 nd related works from the Baroque and Classical periods this class provide
 s an excellent overview and will enhance your listener experience.\n\n\nIn
 structor -- Christopher Schroeder \nBoston-based trumpeter\, vocalist\, co
 mposer/arranger\, and educator\, Chris Schroeder is a musician with divers
 e interests. As a trumpeter\, he has performed with the Concord Symphony\,
  Indian Hill Pops Orchestra\, Neponset Valley Brass Quintet\, and Boston O
 pera Collaborative. Prior to this\, he performed on Main Street U.S.A at W
 alt Disney's Magic Kingdom Resort in Orlando\, Florida. Merging his love f
 or chamber music and education\, Mr. Schroeder founded Bravado Brass\, per
 forming dynamic educational programs for local schools and community cente
 rs throughout greater Boston. A multi-facetted vocalist\, he has performed
  as 'Il Commendatore in Don Giovanni\, with the Boston-based a cappella gr
 oup Similar Jones\, and most recently narrator all six voices for Stravins
 ky's Histoire Du Soldat for The Boston Conservatory. An active music educa
 tor\, Mr. Schroeder has worked at Boston College High School as the brass 
 instructor for their Concert Band and jazz Big Band. He currently works wi
 th the North End Music and Performing Arts Center and is the Trumpet Instr
 uctor in residence for the El Sistema Music Initiative at the Conservatory
  Lab Charter School in Brighton.\n\nStart time: 7:00-8:00pm
