 hen you hear that steeple bell...'\n\nThe Wrathskellar is just off a fog-b
 ound lane in Queen Victoria's London or down a flight of stairs that Mack 
 the Knife might have tread. In the dim limelight\, a chanteuse sings forlo
 rnly of a lost love\, while a diva plots revenge for some imagined slight.
   Hearts\, promises\, and crockery are broken with abandon and secrets are
  hidden just below the surface.\n\nThe Wrathskeller is an evening of reven
 ge\, jealousy\, greed\, betrayal\, lust\, and murder... all to your favori
 te tunes.\n\nThe Boston Babydolls' dark burlesque returns in its most ambi
 tious incarnation. In 2009\, The Wrathskellar was first staged at The Arse
 nal Center for the Arts in Watertown. Last year\, we transformed The Cambr
 idge YMCA's theatre into our underworld tavern with the addition of cabare
 t seating\, wait staff\, and more. This year\, for the first time\, patron
 s can truly enter The Wrathskellar\, as we build our tavern in a storefron
 t in East Cambridge.\n\nA departure from The Boston Babydolls usual mix of
  bubbly fun and retro glamour\, The Wrathskellar is a moody whirlpool of s
 inister dirges\, predatory laments\, and torch songs in a minor key. Inste
 ad of big band and swing\, the soundtrack for The Wrathskellar features at
 mospheric and evocative works from Ut&euml\; Lemper\, The Squirrel Nut Zip
 pers\, Tom Waits\, and Leonard Cohen.\n\nThe show opens October 7 at The W
 rathskellar (545 Cambridge St. Cambridge MA)\, with a special preview on T
