 nnual Boston Bhangra Competition will take place on Saturday\, November 12
 th\, 2011 at the world renowned Orpheum Theatre. We will have 12 of the be
 st bhangra teams from North America & Canada compete to be crowned the Bos
 ton Bhangra Champions!  The last 7 years have sold out with an attendance 
 of 3\,000 people!\n\nBhangra is a folk dance that originates from the stat
 e of Punjab\, India and Pakistan.  It is a celebratory dance that is very 
 energetic and fun to watch.  It has been compared to a fusion of hip hop a
 nd cheerleading with a cultural twist!  It has been integrated into many h
 ip hop/reggae songs\, and is one of the most upcoming foreign dance forms 
 in the world!\n\nWe will also have special guest performances by the legen
 dary Nirmal Sidhu from India. He has mega hit songs like: Bindrakhia Boliy
 aan\, Sher Punjabi Putt\, Char Panj\, Rarkhe\, Punjabi and MANY MORE! \n\n
