 'Making History' explores ways in which scholars have interpreted British 
 history over the past three hundred years. Through objects collected by th
 e Society of Antiquaries of London\, the oldest independent society concer
 ned with the study of the past\, the exhibition traces milestones in the d
 iscovery\, recording\, preservation\, interpretation\, and communication o
 f British history. It explores commonly held beliefs when the Society was 
 founded in 1707 and reveals how new discoveries\, technologies and interpr
 etations have transformed understanding ever since.\n\nThe exhibition has 
 been organized by the Society of Antiquaries of London in association with
  the McMullen Museum of Art\, Boston College\, and the Yale Center for Bri
 tish Art. It has been underwritten by Boston College and the Patrons of th
 e McMullen Museum.\n\nStart time: M-F 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.\nSa-Su 12:00 
 - 5:00 p.m.\n\nDocent tours are available on Sundays at 2:00 p.m.
