 t has hosted Jazz Vocal Night\, an annual student recital where she handle
 s all aspects of the event\, from auditioning the performers to accompanyi
 ng them on piano. Many of Scott's former students have gone on to distinct
 ive careers. Five of them &ndash\; Antonia Bennett\, Lalah Hathaway\, Robi
 n McKelle\, Esperanza Spalding\, and Nadia Washington &ndash\; return to B
 erklee to pay tribute to their mentor at this concert.  Scott and the spec
 ial guests will perform jazz standards with a band featuring faculty membe
 rs Tim Ray on piano\, Terri Lyne Carrington on drums\, and Jon Lockwood on
  bass. Additional instrumentalists &ndash\; including students &ndash\; wi
 ll join on some tunes with guitar and trombone features\, horn section\, a
 nd a string quartet. Scott is a veteran jazz pianist\, vocalist\, recordin
 g artist and Julliard alumna who has been performing for six decades.\n\nS
