 y about the accusations involving Santa and his less than jolly behavior\,
  what Mrs. Claus is like at the annual holiday party and what really happe
 ned that foggy night with Rudolph. \n\nDirector Catherine Bertrand says\, 
 'The Eight: Reindeer Monologues takes the traditional myth of Santa and hi
 s flying reindeer and combines it with the modern day voyeurism and vultur
 e like behavior of the media and its consumers. The concept of the play al
 lows us to laugh at the absurdity of reindeer making brutal accusations of
  a man held in the highest esteem. Yet when you take away the antlers what
  playwright\, Jeff Goode\, has given the audience is a bold statement rega
 rding politics\, gender roles and every other major hot button topic with 
 which this contemporary\, media-saturated society is obsessed.&rdquo\;\n\n
