 ionally acclaimed poet and playwright Afaa Michael Weaver\, with a recepti
 on following the talk. The Massachusetts Chapter of the Association repres
 ents the largest concentration of Fulbright Scholars in the world and prov
 ides cultural\, social and educational opportunities for Fulbright alumni\
 , students\, scholars\, teachers and others who wish to further peace thro
 ugh understanding.\n\n\n\nAuthor of 11 books of poetry\, Afaa Michael Weav
 er has been a Pew fellow in poetry and taught at National Taiwan Universit
 y and Taipei National University of the Arts in Taiwan as a Fulbright Scho
 lar. At Simmons College in Boston\, Massachusetts\, he is the Alumnae Prof
 essor of English and director of the Zora Neale Hurston Literary Center\, 
 as well as the Chairman of the Simmons International Chinese Poetry Confer
 ence. His twelfth collection of poetry\, The Government of Nature\, will b
 e published early in 2013 by the University of Pittsburgh Press. Professor
  Weaver's papers are held by the Gotlieb Center\, and a selection of his c
