 Patrice Williamson isn't a singer\, she's a one-woman jazz sampler... She 
 is a woman of many voices\, each distinctly intriguing\, all distinctly he
 r own.' - JazzTimes\n\nPatrice Williamson is performing a live\, intimate 
 concert at the New School of Music on Wednesday\, February 8th at 7pm. Thi
 s concert will be a short musical journey of Patrice Williamson's favorite
 \,  'TOP 10' \, black female singers. Spirituals from Mahalia Jackson\, bl
 ues from Bessie Smith\, Dinah Washington\, ballads from Billie Holiday swi
 nging songs from Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan\, bebop tunes from Bett
 y Carter and Carmen McCrae and sweet melodies from Nancy Wilson and Dianne
  Reeves.  Patrice says &ldquo\;each of these ladies hold a special place i
 n my heart in helping me to become the singer I am today&rdquo\;.\n\nThe 2
 nd Wednesday Concert Series is a showcase for the talents of New School's 
 performing artists and local guest musicians. The concert series offers th
 e community an opportunity to experience a wide spectrum of music\, includ
 ing classical\, jazz\, pop and folk in the intimate setting of our 1883 wo
 oden school house. We invite the community to sit back\, relax and join us
