 the preeminent center of literary creativity in the United States. Forgott
 en Chapters\, an exhibition developed by Boston College faculty\, students
 \, and staff\, explores stories about Boston's literary history that have 
 faded from memory. Drawing on the special collections of the Boston Public
  Library\, Massachusetts Historical Society\, and American Antiquarian Soc
 iety\, the exhibition focuses on the work of authors and editors\, takes a
  fresh look at poems published in early magazines\, and walks the streets 
 of Boston in the heyday of its literary achievement\, 1794-1860. A complem
 entary exhibition focusing on the first seasons of the Federal Street Thea
 tre is on view at the Massachusetts Historical Society (1154 Boylston Stre
