 \, the American-born modernist Lyonel Feininger (1871&ndash\;1956) also pr
 oduced a little-known body of photographic work that makes innovative use 
 of reflections\, transparency\, and light and shadow. This gallery talk wi
 ll consider the origins of Feininger's photography at the Bauhaus and its 
 development over the next decade when he was experimenting with avant-gard
 e techniques. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Lyonel Feininge
 r: Photographs\, 1928&ndash\;1939.\n\nFree with the price of admission. Ad
 mission is free to MA residents with valid ID on Saturdays before noon.\n
