 estival and the Azorean Maritime Heritage Society are hosting its 7th Annu
 al Azorean Whale Boat Regatta at the MIT Pierce Boathouse\, on Sunday\, Ju
 ne 03\, 2012. \n\nThe annual regatta\, one of the most celebrated events o
 f the Boston Portuguese Festival\, is back this year with more crews compe
 ting and a great program. \n\nRaces will begin at 1pm and spectators can r
 oot for their local teams from the viewing deck of the MIT Pierce Boathous
 e overlooking the Charles River. About 10 teams\, comprised of 7 rowers co
 mpete for the first\, second and third prize in these unique whaleboats ow
 ned and maintained by the Azorean Maritime Heritage Society. The event is 
 open to the public and admission is free.  In addition to the races\, ther
 e will be a whaleboat sailing demonstration\, including tours on the boats
 \, an awards ceremony for crews competing and an opportunity to listen to
