 \nThe prodigiously talented American violinist Hilary Hahn possesses a fla
 wless technique and an instinctively razor-sharp interpretive acumen. Her 
 probing interpretations\, technical brilliance and commitment to new music
  have made her one of the most sought-after artists of our time. Hauschka 
 is the alias of German pianist composer Volker Bertelmann. Having studied 
 classical piano for ten years\, his work as Hauschka is based upon a playf
 ul exploration of the 'prepared' piano. Like Hahn\, Hauschka is no strange
 r to the idea of collaboration\, whether with more formal outfits or with 
 acclaimed bands like Calexico and m&uacute\;m\, both of whom contributed t
 o his last solo release. They are performing together in support of their 
 new musical project\, Silfra\, an ambitious\, free-spirited and innovative
