 oundation and the American Islamic Congress May 8-June 8 for an original a
 rt exhibition organized by the Foundation entitled\, Azerbaijani Painters:
  Father and Son Tal'at and Shahin Shikhaliyev. The opening reception Thurs
 day\, May 10\, will help to inaugurate the AIC's recently opened Center in
  the fashionable Back Bay neighborhood of Boston\, Massachusetts. Admissio
 n to the exhibition is free.\n\nShahin Shikhaliyev and his late father Tal
 'at Shikhaliyev shared a penchant for color. They also shared an abiding l
 ove for their native country\, which is conveyed in their paintings.\nDuri
 ng the May 10 opening night\, Shahin Shikhaliyev will provide an introduct
 ion to Azerbaijani art traditions. Guests will have the opportunity to exp
 lore Azerbaijani culture\, arts\, and heritage via supplemental educationa
 l materials in the gallery. The opening reception also will feature hors d
 'oeuvres prepared in an Azerbaijani style.\n\nStart time: Monday - Friday
