 ibition at the Brighton-Allston Heritage Museum through June 1\, Artist Ri
 chard Salvucci will present an slideshow on his career beginning with his 
 earliest budding days as an artist to the present.  The presentation will 
 take place at the Brighon-Allston Heritage Museum\, 20 Chestnut Hill Avenu
 e in Historic Brighton Center on Saturday\, May 12th at 2:00 pm.  It's fre
 e and refreshments will be served.  \n\nRichard Salvucci of Brighton\, Mas
 sachusetts started tracing comic book characters as a boy then drawing the
 m freehand. After graduating from the Massachusetts College of Art\, he be
 came a freelance illustrator producing magazine illustrations with a speci
 ality in covers for science fiction and fantasy books. For many years he h
 as painted scenes of nature\, animals and birds. He has had numerous fine 
 art commissions\, including Yankee Magazine\, The New York Times\, Massach
 usetts Audubon Society\,  and Wildlife Art Magazine. Richard has exhibited
  in many New England galleries and museums including the Bennington Center
  for the Arts\, the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History and the Norman Rock
 well Museum. He's primarily a painter of realism but also enjoys experimen
 ting in different styles and formulating new ways of &ldquo\;seeing&rdquo\
 ;. To produce his artwork\, he uses a broad spectrum of mediums including 
 oil\, pencil and ink.\n\nStart time: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
