 18\n\nEllen's Heart and Soul (www.ellensheartandsoul.org)\, a local 501 (c
 )(3) non-profit that benefits cancer patients and their families\, is exci
 ted to announce a summer skate and culture festival called &ldquo\;Kick It
 : Boardwalk Boston 2012&rdquo\; in collaboration with Boardwalk Skate Park
  (www.boardwalkboston.com) and Boston-based luxury loungewear company Mile
 s High (www.miles-high.com) to raise awareness for the organization and it
 s initiatives. The day-long indoor/outdoor event will be held on June 23\,
  2012 at the Boardwalk Skate Shop in Woburn\, MA and will fuse music\, ska
 teboarding\, food\, and art. \n\nTwo competitions will proceed throughout 
 the day. The first will be a unique photography contest in which entrants 
 can register at any time during the event\, shoot photographs over the cou
 rse of the day\, and upload their shots to be displayed instantly on scree
 ns for voting. The winner's photograph will then be included in the post-e
 vent press package. \n\nThe second competition is a skateboarding contest 
 divided into two age categories: Youth and Adult. Just before the competit
 ion\, the skate park will unveil a new obstacle that skaters will have to 
 incorporate. The winner of the Youth category\, ages 12 and under\, will c
 laim a prize package\; the winner of the Adult category will take home a $
 500 cash prize. A prominent skate team\, to be announced at a later date\,
  will also perform a demonstration. \n&ldquo\;Our space is perfect for thi
 s event and it's unlike any other venue in the area. We're psyched to be w
 orking with both Miles High and Ellen's Heart and Soul\,&rdquo\; says Matt
  Polianites\, founder and co-owner of  the Boardwalk Skate Shop.\n\nThe da
 y will be scored by a Boston-based national band and local DJs will perfor
 m sets during free skates. Local food vendors will also be on site to feed
  hungry guests and graffiti artists will entertain patrons of all ages. \n
 'This will be an event for all ages and our goal will be to spread the wor
 d about EHS to the next generation\,' says Andrew Leavitt\, Executive Dire
 ctor of Ellen's Heart and Soul. \n\nMiles High will sponsor a Miles High R
 iders' Lounge\, a place for attendees to relax and experience the brand. I
 t will feature plush seating\, flat screen televisions with video streams 
 from inside the park\, music and street art coffee table books\, and an iP
 od drive for Music for the Heart and Soul\, an in-hospital initiative of E
 llen's Heart and Soul that provides relaxing music to cancer patients as t
 hey undergo chemotherapy. \n&ldquo\;The purpose of the Riders' Lounge is t
 o provide a unique experience to all of those who attend the event\, eleva
 ting the creative passion of the culture that is driven by artistic expres
 sion. We are excited to work with Ellen's Heart and Soul to raise awarenes
 s for the great cause while empowering those who have contributed to it\,&
