 lation to it and includes choral gems by Dvo?&aacute\;k\, Hindemith and Sc
 hubert\, several spring madrigals\, Grieg selections for piano\, and the p
 remiere of Temple of Nature\, a new choral work by Patricia Van Ness. Alan
  Grossman\, now in his 17th year as director of The Master Singers\, is de
 dicated to commissioning and presenting new choral works. For Temple of Na
 ture\, composer Patricia Van Ness has drawn inspiration from a poem writte
 n by Erasmus Darwin\, grandfather of Charles Darwin\, whose words anticipa
 ted the theory of evolution by 65 years. Her luminous work evokes the prog
 ression of life from micro-organisms to civilized society.  Temple of Natu
 re was specially commissioned for The Master Singers of Lexington with the
  generous support of two anonymous donors.\n\nStart time: 8:00 pm
