 own to music enthusiasts as one-third of the indescribable Medeski Martin 
 & Wood. About to enter their twentieth year as a performing and recording 
 aggregation\, Medeski Martin & Wood are an entirely unique instrumental en
 semble\, able to apply principles from a staggering range of traditions (f
 rom free and modern jazz to classic R&B and well beyond) while remaining e
 minently relatable\, even accessible. Via fifteen albums\, tireless tourin
 g (performing everywhere from jazz clubs to jamband festivals)\, and colla
 borations with the likes of John Scofield and John Zorn\, the trio have un
 ited audiences from disparate corners of the musical universe who react wi
 th equal awe and enthusiasm to the band's infectious grooves and undiminis

 come the San Francisco Bay Area's first call organist and is rapidly gaini
 ng momentum throughout the country.  In 2007 and 2008\, he was named in th
 e Downbeat critics poll under 'Rising Star' for organ. Wil currently leads
  his own groups around the Bay Area and is dedicating his time to teaching
  the Hammond B-3 Organ privately and at the Jazzschool in Berkeley.  Curre
 nt musical collaborations include groups with guitarist Will Bernard\, Jaz
 z legend Idris Muhammad and a duo project with drummer Scott Amendola.  Wi
