 1-06\n\n'Drawn to Excellence' features 86 drawings from the distinguished 
 collection of a Smith alumna renowned for the exemplary quality of its hol
 dings. This important collection was first featured in the exhibition Priv
 ate Treasures: Four Centuries of Master Drawings co-organized by the Pierp
 ont Morgan Library & Museum and the National Gallery of Art in 2007. \n'Dr
 awn to Excellence' focuses primarily on French and Italian sheets from the
  fifteenth to the early nineteenth century\, charting the use of drawing b
 y some of the most accomplished artists from the Renaissance through Roman
 ticism. Featured artists include Agnolo Bronzino\, Annibale Carracci\, Eug
 ene Delacroix\, Jean-Honore Fragonard\, Giovanni Battista Tiepolo\, and Gi
 orgio Vasari\, among others. This exhibition provides a unique opportunity
  to see excellent examples of draftsmanship as well as the range of styles
  and uses of drawings during four centuries of artistic production in Euro
 pe. The exhibition will travel to the Herbert F. Johnson Museum\, Cornell 
 University (January 26-April 21\, 2013).
