521 Promotional video: http://youtu.be/qDrkyyd3h8I You are invited to Fo
rt Point Theatre Channel's tenth Exclamation Point! to view the work of Fo
rt Point's residents\, artists\, and friends inspired by film. The artisti
c projects cross numerous genres &ndash\; from all varieties of cinema &nd
ash\; to music\, theatre and animation. Among other thrilling debuts\, th
e program features the fairy tale 'O&ugrave\; est Fleuri Rose?' which foll
ows the adventures of a pink teddy bear in Quebec. This cinematic-animatio
n is the collaboration between composer\, Mark Warhol and animation-artist
s\, Nick Thorkelson and Amy MacDonald. Additionally\, the evening showcas
es the experimental work of Pelle Lowe. Lowe's 'Earthly Possessions' is a
trance film that uses the heightened emotional language of Emily Bront&eum
l\;'s 'Wuthering Heights' and Michel Foucault's 'Herculine Barbin' as its
starting-point for a meditation on the eroticism of grief and the fluidity
of gender-identity\, in extremis. These two films are complimented by Da
vid Henry Haan's play 'It Always Rains When John Cusack Is in Anguish.' Th
is drama explores the comedic encounter between John Cusack and a woman at
a bus stop. Film shorts and other works include: 'Soundproof' by Rocc
o Giuliano\, which takes a whimsical look at the filmmaker's old and new h
ome\, while exploring the persistent tension between individuality and com
munity. 'o(77)' by Julie Miller\, is a visionary experience intended to i
nduce trance through imagery\, in order to experience altered states. 'Va
cancy' by Mike Ware\, is an intensely personal short film &ndash\; and a m
editation on the Catholic Church. 'The Passenger' by Julie Zammarchi\, is
an animated film of the memories\, dreams\, and visions that crowd a woma
n's consciousness as she travels in a car toward her own death. 'Breakfas
t\,' by Julie Mallozzi\, is an installation piece that concerns family\, t
ime &ndash\; and the mutability of memory. 'Circle Song\,' by Douglas Urb
ank\, is a Fantasia on a theme of nine repeating patterns in six colors. T
he work is comprised of a digital transfer of a handmade 16-mm film\, a co
llage of hand-painted leader\, altered found footage\, adhesive overlays a
nd applied optical sound. The Fort Point Theatre Channel ( www.fortpointth
 eatrechannel.org ) is a community-based performance and production company
. It is nurtured and maintained through the artistic talents who live and
work in Fort Point &ndash\; and enriches the lives of those residing in Bo
ston and beyond. Fort Point Theatre Channel's Co-Artistic Directors are Ma
