 s 17th season\, the MIT Summer Philharmonic Orchestra (MITSPO) has been th
 e preeminent summer community orchestra for nearly two decades. Made up of
  top musicians of the MIT community and the general Greater Boston area\, 
 MITSPO hosts a single concert event every summer. \nThis year's program is
  inspired by the poetry of Lord Byron: \nLiszt\, Mazeppa \nTchaikovsky\, M
 anfred Symphony \n\n\n\nMITSPO is conducted by George Ogata who founded th
 e orchestra in 1995.  Mr. Ogata has been on the faculty at the Longy Schoo
 l of Music of Bard College since 1996 as Conductor of the Longy Youth Cham
 ber Orchestra\, the senior youth orchestra program.  He has led the youth 
 orchestra on tour to Austria\, Canada\, Czech Republic\, Finland\, France\
