 the rebellious 16th-century Indian poet and mystic Mirabai. In his septet 
 Raising the Gaze\, Peter Lieberson takes inspiration from an unusual pairi
 ng: Buddhist themes and medieval dance music. An underworld ogre emerges l
 andside in Andy Vores' darkly-scored Umberhulk. The three Northeast Semi-f
 inalists of the nationwide Rapido! (R)  Composition Contest (Mark Berger\,
  Derek Hurst\, and Eric Segerstrom) present the breakthrough results of th
