 c tales of a world famous tenor\, Tito Morelli\, who is to perform the rol
 e of Otello for the gala season opener of the Cleveland Grand Opera Compan
 y. Through a hilarious series of mishaps he is given a double dose of tran
 quilizers mixed with a glass of wine. Unable to perform\, the General Mana
 ger\, Saunders\, convinces his assistant\, Max\, to take Morelli's place. 
 Max's performance is a triumph\, but when Morelli wakes up he prepares for
  the performance\, so two Otellos are running around in costume and two wo
 men are running around in lingerie\, each thinking she is with Morelli. A 
 sensation on Broadway and in London's West End\, Lend Me a Tenor is guaran
 teed to leave you teary eyed with laughter.
