\nVictor Lemonte Wooten is a unique human being. He started performing in
nightclubs and theaters as the bassist with the family band at age five\,
and at age six\, was on tour with his brothers opening shows for legendar
y soul artist Curtis Mayfield. Soon after\, he was affectionately known as
the 8-year-old &ldquo\;Bass Ace&rdquo\; and before graduating high school
\, he and his brothers had shared the stage with artists such as Stephanie
  Mills\, War\, Ramsey Lewis\, Frankie Beverly and Maze\, Dexter Wansel\, a
nd The Temptations. Wooten\, now a five-time Grammy winner\, hit the worl
dwide scene in 1990 as a founding member of the super-group Bela Fleck and
the Flecktones. Continuing to blaze a musical trail with the band\, Victo
r has also become widely known for his own Grammy nominated solo recording
s and tours and has also won every major award given to a bass guitarist
including being voted Bassist of the Year in Bass Player Magazine's reader
s poll three times (the only person to win it more than once.) In 2011\, R
olling Stone Magazine even voted Victor one of the Top Ten Bassists of All
Time.\nAmerican guitarist Jimmy Herring is a musician's musician. The Nor
th Carolina native has been playing guitar for close to 40 years and exhib
its signs that he's just getting started. A staple in the Jazz Fusion and
Jam Band scene\, Herring studied guitar at Berklee College of Music and th
e Guitar Institute of Technology. His playing style melds the influences o
f Jimi Hendrix's raw emotion\, the twang of Steve Morse\, and the flowing
phrases of jazz legends Charlie Parker and John Coltrane. Jimmy second so
lo release Subject to Change Without Notice (Abstract Logix 2012)\, is a r
ecord that pushes Herring's music to another level. Produced by the legend
ary John Keane\, Herring again surrounds himself with close friends to mak
e a strong\, uninhibited record featuring mostly all originals. Herring d
emonstrates\, without doubt\, that his music and playing ability are conti
nually growing\, and that his music will thrill fans and fellow musicians
alike. Jimmy Herring will be extensively touring in 2012 in support of hi
 s new album.
