 mance of Hamlet\, William Shakespeare's friend and the preeminent actor of
  his time\, Richard Burbage is interrupted by a boy backstage seeking an a
 pprenticeship. Details: One Man Show to Benefit Film Festival at Arlington
  Friends of the Drama Organizers of the Arlington International Film Festi
 val have announced another in a series of pre-festival public events. A Be
 nefit Performance of Neil McGarry's one-man show\, Burbage: The Man that M
 ade Shakespeare Famous\, will be presented at Arlington Friends of the Dra
 ma on September 22nd to benefit the Festival which opens for a five-day ru
 n on October 17th at Arlington's Regent Theatre. Neil McGarry\, a professi
 onal actor trained at the National Shakespeare Conservatory\, will perform
  the play written for him by Nick Minella&hellip\;a play honoring the Engl
 ish actor\, Richard Burbage. He will perform the play on the AFD stage (22
  Academy Street) on September 22nd. McGarry is a member of Actor's Equity 
 Association and SAG &ndash\; AFTRA and is an active supporter of the Arlin
 gton International Film Festival. He has offered his performance at AFD as
  a benefit to the Festival. Tickets are $15 and will be sold at the door. 
 Richard Burbage (6 January 1568 &ndash\; 13 March 1619) was an English act
 or and theatre owner. McGarry\, who plays Burbage in the play\, says of hi
 m\, '&hellip\; [He] created every Shakespeare lead. He first played Hamlet
 \, he first played Othello\, he first played Macbeth ... he created Richar
 d III.' Neil McGarry- Bio Neil has been a working actor for the last 30 ye
 ars. He is a member of AEA (Actors Equity Association)\, SAG and AFTRA. Ne
 il has lived and worked around the country but is very pleased to be home 
 in Massachusetts and is very proud to be a member of the vibrant local pro
 fessional acting community. While primarily a theatre actor\, Neil's film 
 and television work (whether as an actor\, director\, co-director\, produc
 er\, editor\, script consultant\, production assistant or stand-in) includ
