 is production is the culmination of a year's collaboration between theater
  arts and classical studies in studying and translating the texts\, traini
 ng in Indian narrative dance with the Navarasa Dance Theater and\, finally
 \, performing the text.\nEric Hill\, director of the project\, was drawn t
 o the way these two stories can be presented as twin visions of an ancient
  storyteller\, a goddess perhaps\, who tells us the story of the creation 
 of the world that climaxes with the creation of the Furies. This productio
 n will bring together our graduate and undergraduate students in an opport
 unity to explore the most ancient form of theatrical performance\, the Gre
 ek tragedy\, in a way that delves into the connections of myths across cul
 tures and time.
