 \nBoston soprano Rebekah Alexander and Sudbury guitarist Dave McLellan pre
 sent a concert of song cycles by Bejanmin Britten\, Lennox Berkeley\, Step
 hen Dodgson\, and David Leisner. Poetry by Emily Dickinson\, Emily Bronte\
 , Walter de la Mare\, John Clare\, and philosophy of the ancient Chinese.
 \nRebekah Alexander on the program: &ldquo\;We want to express the drama a
 nd intensity of the poetry\, without forgetting the light-heartedness of s
 ome texts\, and the sheer humor and satire of others. The range of emotion
 al expression is vast &ndash\; from Britten's crafting of the noble reflec
 tions of the ancient Chinese\, through the brooding of Berkeley's setting 
 of de la Mare's dreamily imaginative poems\; from the naturist quality\, b
 ut politically satirical insanity of John Clare (set by Dodgson)\, to the 
 intense introspection of Dickinson Bronte\, and others\, so beautifully ca
 st by the young American guitarist/composer David Leisner&rdquo\;.\n\nStar
 t time: the program is one hour without intermission.   Composer David Lei
 sner may speak before the performance.  Reception open to all follows the 
 program
